Phpmyadmin new access
« on: November 30, 2003, 05:47:24 PM »
I have installed e-smith-phpmyadmin-2.5.4-3.noarch.rpm
and it works perfectly ...
I actually access to phpmyadmin by https://servername/phpmyadmin with login : admin and pass : root's pass

But i want to add a new user and i want him to acces to phpmyadmin, with his own login and pass.
I do not want him to know my root's pass ...

I don't know how to proceed ...

Thanks for help

It looks like that contrib is missing CONFIG.INC.PHP file.

What you can do is to download DarrelMay's contrib from

http://mirror.contribs.org/smeserver/contribs/dmay/mitel/contrib/phpmyadmin/

and copy the config.inc.php file from it.

Hi,

I am not familiar with the e-smith phpmyadmin rpm you mentioned but I used the standard phpmyadmin, install it into the path, Primary/html/phpmyadmin and then use htaccess and htpassword to enable users, as many as I want, each with their own private password.

In order to do this, you will need to find the htaccess rpm for e-smith or if you e-mail me directly, I can send it to you.

Just another way of doing it...

Cheers
