Downgrading from 6.0 to 5.6

Hi there,

Anyone got a good suggestion to downgrade from 6.0 to 5.6

I’m having serious problems with SMB – as server crashes if I transfer more than 1 GB data to the server over SMB.

The log file says nothing.

What version of SME 6 are you running and how did you get there ?

I loaded the SME 6 final version from scratch on my server and then uploaded my 38 gig of music with a single drag and drop. I regularly upload and download collections of small files exceeding a gigabyte and single large files just under 2 gigabytes without any problems.

It was the SME 6,0 Final release.

I don’t know why I had this problem, but I did solved it with a downgrade to 5.6Upgrade6

I couldn’t use the LAT contrib, as it conflicts with SME 6.0, so I installed the user-manager contrib. and asked all users to make a backup of their data. Then I killed the system and installed a fresh 5.6 and all the upgrades and contribs.

That solved the SMB problem, WHY… I don’t know as I’m not a programmer but a user :-)

P.S. Happy new year.
