What do you mean by this?  What exactly are you trying to do?  Why do you need to enable/disable Internet access several times a day?

Just trying to understand your situation to help with an answer.

Hi,
I need to block the access because the students, during the lessons in my laboratory, don't have to connect to Internet exept when necessary (several times in a hour), in order to pay attention to the lesson. :P

The e-smith-squid-restrict-ip-0.1-1.noarch.rpm is not too practical... I hope there is something more immediate!

thanks!

How about unplugging the external-lan cable at those times?

Hi,

Why don't you use the rpm's from Dungog.net:
  • web content filtering (dungog-dansguardian-2.6-7.noarch.rpm)and
  • firewall (dungog-masq-0.1-2.noarch.rpm)

see http://www.dungog.net/sme/help/
