Topic: Eliminate E-Smith DNS control

How can I remove E-Smith's ability to modify dns records. I would like to manually create my /etc/named.conf and /var/named records and I don't want e-smith to alter them every time I reboot, etc. Is it possible to remove the caching only nameserver from e-smith and provide full dns service. If someone could help me I would appreciate it.
