Topic: modem not seen ?

Hi there,
just trying the product, I am getting a fail everytime I test the internet access.
The modem is a 3com 56k, the access is set to Dial-on-Demand, the server is pingable and configured properly (it is working fine, but internally only !).
Where should I look for the device configuration and connection parameters ?

Have you had the modem working properly with any previous OS installations?  What comm port did you use then?

What comm port are you using now?  Have you tried all four ports? (ie ttyS0 - ttyS3)

As there was no dramatic files yet, I reinstalled the product (remember, I was only trying it !), and it is now working fine (the modem is, as hope, seen on com port 1, ie ttys0)
