POP3 not working?

POP3 not working?

I have setup E-smith 4.01 Gateway and Server on my @home service. I am also using www.yi.org for domain name entries so that I can gave avalid doman name to my e-smith sever. I have also selected MX Record at yi.org configuration.

I tested my email server last night. I can send emails out to anyone but can not receive any emails. If I send email from any external email account to my e-smith email account, it bounces back with the message:

99.99.99.99 does not like recipient.
Remote host said: 553 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed
rcpthosts (#5.7.1)
Giving up on 99.99.99.99

I will appreciate your help.

did you change this to 99.99.99.99 to hide your real IP address?  If not that was the problem... your correct IP was not in the DNS.  Yi.org was telling mail servers your mail servers IP address was something else.  That server did not allow the mail session.  Had it pointed to the correct server (your e-smith) it would have worked.
It must have updated since, I can complete a mail session with your e-smith server from a remote location just fine.  DNS is working now.

POP3 problem has been fixed now. I had to change domian name to pgill.yi.org
to make it working. Previously I was using @home domain name by mistake.
