hello.

I have got a realserver up and running on the e-smith linuxbox (build ver 8.0.0.149 for linux-2.0-libc6-i386) form the inside part of the LAN we can see the live clip that we are transmitting... but from the outside like http://www.berzek.org/ramgen/encoder/live.rm we are not able to access the live transmission... as we arent experts in neither realserver nor linux, has anyone been thru this before? Most probably we have missed something... till we know it.

please see our budding web page www.berzek.org and see the link at the bottom which tries to connect to the server and show the live cllip (the link works internally from my LAN)... any help will be appreciated.

regards,
aniston

I have same problem with RealServer 8 Basic and e-smith 4.1.1 box. In my case eth1 used for LAN, eth0 for external IP address.

It would be great for me too some assistance from people have any ideas, why RealServer isn't accessible from outside

hello Sarunas,

if you can find some way of getting this realserver and the webserver to work on the same e-smith box please let me know as for the whole of last month i have been trying this out but with no luck as yet.

anyone having a clue as to how can a real server work in live transmission on an e-smith box please share your results.

regards,
aniston

PS: or is there any way to stop the proxy server of the e-smith on port 8080 and let the realserver use that to server the requests on port 8080  !! Just an idea!
