To All:
When someone has a free moment, will they send me instructions on how to
add users and groups with the command line?
Thanks for your time.

Why don't you just use the E-Smith-Manager
Just open a Browser use
http://whatever
your Servername is/e-smith-manager
Logon with User "admin" password "Whatever you put when you installed E-Smith"
Hope that helps.

I would like to put together an RPM that needs to create a specific user and group in order to operate properly. This will need to be done within tne install script and so I need the command line command. This will help to ensure that the RPM is portable for any e-smith system and it will make sure that the necesary permissions are in the user and group darabases for e-smith.
I'm not much of a perl type and I am hoping that someone has the answers I need to continue to properly put together the RPM.
Regards,
John C.

My problem is the same, I have to install a rpm of Pervasive.SQL.2000 and I obtain as answer " invalid group " and " invalid user ", I already created them in the e-smith-manager but the path it is not the same, result - gave the same problem.
