I'm almost there with my e-smith server ! I got roaming profiles working with win98- clients and KIX-script, but a problem has occured :
Logonprocess :
1. Win98-client logs on to e-smith, running netlogon.bat
2. From netlogon.bat, KIX32 is started ( %0\..\KIX32.EXE kix.kix) and all my changes to the LOCAL registry is processed (ie ADDPRINTERCONNECTION ("\e-smith-server\ laserjet 4") )
3. The saved settings from my previous logonsession (stored in /home/.profiles) overwrites the local settings - and my printerconnection is lost !
Is there a way, to make 2. and 3. 'swap places'.
What I want is to be able to change the registrysettings automaticly with KIXtart.
All I have to do is add / remove a KeyValue in the KIXscript, and the next time a user is logging on - (WITH roaming profile), she will have access to i.e the new printer.
