Topic: Gallery Install in v. 5.0

I am trying to install Gallery in 5.0. I followed Dan Brown's How To and update PHP to 4.06 and then followed the Galler 1.1 How To.  I installed the prerequisit RPMS just fine, and got everything else installed ok (I think).  The configuration went fine. I was able to go to my Gallery page, create users, log in, create galleries, add photos, etc.  But, for some reason, once the photos are added they don't show up in IE6 on my windows box.  They just appear as the box with the red "X" in it.  I can rotate the picture or do any of the special features but still get nothing.

Is there perhaps a problem with my NETPBM install?  I thought that may be the case so I downloaded the NETPBM subset from the Gallery page on Sourceforge and copied them to a directory in /usr/bin.  I did a chmod +x for each of them to make sure they were executible. I then re-ran the Gallery Setup and set the PBM directory to the new directory I had created. It said the configuration was fine.

I also tried uploading .gif files in addition to .jpg files.

Still no luck.

I'm stumped.

Well, gallery's now up to 1.2.1, so it'd be good to upgrade to that if possible.  The rest of the howto would still be the same.

That's what I installed was 1.2.1.  1.2.1 has some security fixes over 1.2.  But still now luck.  I'll also try asking on the Gallery page.

OK.  It was a configuration problem.  I didn't have the Album directory set properly.  All works now.
