Anybody now of any satellite cards that run on E-Smith?

I have an urgent need to setup serveral E-Smith servers with SAT cards.

Thanks in advance.

Yes I am using the iHug sm200d satellite card in my system on the Australian iHug system, it works like a dream. There was  no problems in getting this to work.

Great!

I will be using this on iHug in Australia as well.

Don't suppose that you have a bit of a HowTo by any chance.

Thanks for your help.

Yeah sure thing.
First, I installed and configured e-smith to use a perm dial-up modem connection.
Second, I copied the skymedia drivers to /skymedia
Then I edited '/etc/rc.local' and added the following to the end of this file '/skymedia/skymedia start'.
Do a reboot, check for a lock on the satellite '/skymedia/sm200dstats' and this should be you up and running.
If you need the drivers then send me an email and I will get them to you.

Regards.

Alan

Thanks for the info.

I assume that you are using SME v5.0.
The /skymedia directory that you create is at the root of the filesystem?

Could you email me the drivers at cfarrier@gateway.net.au

Alan,

I am also interested in the drivers. Could you e-mail me a set as well ? Also, can you confirm if they are for ESSG 4.1.2 or SME 5 ( or both --> Yippee ! ).

Many Thanks.

OK, I have had the satellite working both with 5.0 and 5.1beta.
I havn't tried 4.1.2, but if it is using the 2.2.x kernel then i don't see any reason why they won't work.
The bad news is I havn't got the card to work with the 2.4.x kernel, so anyone who has compiled them for 2.4.x then please let me know.
Craig & Kelvin the drivers are on there way.

Hello Alan

I have recently started using Ihug Ultra and it would make things easier if I had the appropriate drivers for Version 5 of E-smith.

Would you be so kind as to send it to me?

Regards

Hello Again Alan

I do have some drivers for the 2.4.x kernel.  Would you like them?

Is your e-mail address help@serpants.com?

If so confirm and I'll send what I have to you.

If you have the drivers for 2.2.x then just edit the sm200dload.sh and change the line with 'insmod' to 'insmod -f', the -f just forces the module to be loaded.
Still no  luck with that brian then i will send you the drivers i am using.

Yeah, same as for Brian!

Has anyone got the 2.2.19 drivers?

Alan's files were great, very easy to setup but wrong kernel.

Hi again Alan . . .

Is editing the sm200dload.sh and changing the line with 'insmod' to 'insmod -f' what you need to do if you get the message that it is the wrong kernel?

This question sounds dumb but, sorry.
