MP3 Jukebox

I downloaded and installed the MP3 Jukebox via the Blades option in version 5.0. It seemed to install ok but I can't get anything to stream or play. When I click on Fetch it will play but not download. I'm not even trying to connect from the outside world, this is still all internal. My default MP3 player right now is Windows Media Player. Do I need to change some other settings to get it to work? Could it be my machine is to small? Pentimum 90 with 32meg RAM.

When I first did a jukebox (on 4.1) I found that Winamp wouldn't stream until I made entries in the HOSTS file in the C:\WINDOWS directoryof the client
machine.

Assuming your domain is foo.org and your esmith server is jukebox
at 192.168.1.1, I'd make the following entries:

192.168.1.1     jukebox
192.168.1.1     www.foo.org
192.168.1.1     foo.org

This covers all the bases.  I'm sure you could do without one
or two, but this way Winamp will correctly resolve the name
and voila, you're streaming!

How do you resolve the DNS lookup for a unregistered Domain? When I try and stream from the Internet Wimamp trys to resolve www.zedslan.com , which doesn't work. The only solution I can see is registering with a free DNS service. I have a static IP. I tryed a Virtual Domain on the ES Server, but that hosed my internal HTTP Admin fuctions.

I had the same problem with all this, but only on my Windows systems. To take a look at the solution that worked for me, go look at:

Thanks Chris. It worked for me don't know how it works from the outside world. I'd think that the outside would wouldn't need the fix only the people from the inside world.
