Hi
I have built a driver file dc395x_trm.o for use with the above card. It is a simple, inexpensive SCSI card that I am trying to use for a SCSI Dat Tape drive. If anyone else would like to try it let me know and I will send you a copy.
Also trying to out together a .o file for Adaprtec 2100s Raid Card. Has anyone already tried and suceeded with this card?

I have one of these cards with a SCSI DAT drive that I couldnt use until now....you have made my day. If you could email me or post to this thread when it is hosted at Mitel so I can download.

Charlie........the driver you compiled for Adaptec 2400A is only an IDE RAID controller. Are you sure that the Adaptec 2100s SCSI RAID controller will use these same drivers?

Why not open a download folder (ftp or http) to share all drivers not included in... kudzu?
like on Charly Bradys folder and his adaptec 2400

The dc395x_trm.o file works well with SME 5.1.2 & 5.5. Please reply so that I can attach the file.
We have also been trying to build a 5.6 vesion but so far no luck. The result was about 6 unresolved problems when trying to load. What is a good source for understanding driver compiling errors?

This is re: the Adaptec drivers from Charlie's FTP site as an answer to someone's request for a driver for Adaptec 2100S for SME 5.6.

The drivers on Charlie's site seem to be for earlier SME versions. IIRC, the 2400A and the 2100S do take the same driver *NAME*, but the actual code may be different. The Adaptec site shows no drivers for either adapter after RedHat 7.1, meaning the drivers are now built in to the kernel for 7.2 and greater.

Has anyone tried the dpt_i2o.o driver that is included with SME 5.6 with either of these raid controllers?  I'd be very curious to know if it works on either board with 5.6.

We are having a parse error on the complier for 5.6 for the driver for DC315U card. The error appears to come from the last lines in the .c file. It is the include line in the last if block
Scsi_Host_Template driver_template = DC395x_TRMS1040;
the error is a parse error before '#'.
This line appears to the same as earlier lines in the file so we can not see any syntacs errors.
Does anyone have any ideas where to look or references.

Has anybody got this driver working under 5.6 yet ?

I have been successfully using it under 5.5, but there have been posts about it not working under 5.6

If somebody could mail me or post a link to the 5.6 driver this would be very much appreciated.
