Hi all,

It is been quite sometime my SME server is running fine......

Recently I upgraded it to 5.1.2 and last weekend I VPN to my server from Home using PPTP everything is ok. It is able to map all my directories except my Home directory. It says that there is an error in syntax but i doube check it. It is ok, "net use h: /home"

Can someone please advise me? also when i go to the network neighbourhood i can only see my own computer? I check the IP config it shows that its WINS is pointing to my SME server which i think is correct, rite? this applies to both v5 and v5.1.2

Do i need to do any settings on my server for all the above to work when i VPN?

Thank you very much

Regards,
BK

I don't know if this is exactly the problem that you are having but I have always had error messages when using the "net use h: /home" command and had to map each home drive individually Las week I upgraded Samba to 2.2.3 using the howto and since then it has worked the way it should do. This is the link to the howto http://www.myezserver.com/downloads/mitel/contrib/samba-2.2.3-a/samba-howto.html

It is very straightforward although I couldn't make it work using the updates add in and had to install it from the command line.

I hope this has been of help
