Topic: VPN ON SME 5.6

Hi,
I am writing from Italy,
from when I have installed SME Server 5,6 I more do not succeed to connect, as I made me with version 5,12, to my server in remote previously from a client of remote access VPN Windows XP.  The error that arrives is (not me memory very well):  "I have closed the port to try again with other formulations".  That it is?  I have not never seen.

Yes, there are bugs in the PPTP implementation in 5.6. A search will provide lots of information about it.

There is the upgrade 2 to version 5.6.  We hope resolves all the errors.  I will try monday

I've installed new version of SME 5.6 (update 2) but the VPN service don't work correctly.
On my SME 5.6 I've still installed SNORT+ACID+GUARDIAN.
It is possible that the bad operation of VPN depends also on these SW?
Exactly the number of error from windows xp remote access VPN is 619 (the port of connection is closed).
Then after same minute the VPN connect work but I cannot access to my control panel (server-manager) and so on.
This is a very great problem.

Update 2 does not fix the PPTP problems in SME 5.6. At best, you can apply the workaround on the e-smith bugs page :-

Some users have reported positive outcomes from applying the workaround while others not. Give it a shot.

Already made. But not working correctly.
I succeed to connect, but they pass only least bytes then does not work more nothing
I have got no more hope, probably I install newly version 5.5
