Did you search these forums (all posts) for NUT, there have been quite a few informative posts going back over the last 6 to 9 months.

Other than "it didn't work successfully", you don't give any specific indication of what problem you have, more info needed.

An alternative is to use powstatd which should work with any serial UPS, there is a nice HOWTO, search the Web Links.

Belkin UPS on serial connection using NUT Help !
« Reply #5 on: March 01, 2004, 10:37:53 AM »
I'm not sure of your problem.
Disable NUT if you try to use powstatd.
/sbin/e-smith/configuration setprop nut status disabled
/sbin/e-smith/signal-event post-upgrade
/sbin/e-smith/signal-event reboot

Did you follow the powstatd HOWTO carefully ?
Sounds like the cable may be incorrect (wrong pin connections, see cable info in HOWTO)
What outputs do you get when you run powstatd in Test mode, that should be a clue.
I don't think you need to instal Belkin drivers if you use powstatd.
