Topic: Unable to view my PHP Site on SME6.0...

I have searched the forums High and Low.... Need your Help!

After upgrading SME Server 5.6 to 6.0, I noticed that the "primary" directory is now soft linked. I transferred my php type website (fully functional on 5.6) to new server ensuring that my config.php of my site was updated, to the new defaulted HTML directory on 6.0 and now I am receiving "unable to connect to database"? The only thing I can see different is the location of the Primary directory....

HTML files are viewed fine... and I'm an Intermediate AIX / LiNUX user too who is so confused... lol



Please help guide me in the right direction...
I have a fresh install of 6.0 and ready to run my php site with your help! Your suggestions will be valued!

Did you enable MySQL access as stated in the release notes?

Also try installing phpMyAdmin in the contribs area. It will let you set some settings and passwords.

yep, MySql is setup correctly, and PHP reads pages when testing php webpage. Its that link of primary bay..
I'm going to do some more tweakin with the .htaccess and MySQL.. I'll post my results.. Thanks for the note!

I'm guessing that dynamic content is not enabled.  I just now noticed that one cannot modify the primary ibay settings on SME 6...  Strange...  

Why not try this:

1.  Create a new ibay for your php website:  Set group to everyone, user access via web to Entire Internet (no password).

2.  Set Execution of dynamic content to enabled.

3.  Using the Domains panel, point your main domain name to the ibay you just created.

4. Upload your files to the new ibay html folder.

Seams that its MySQL... when I create 2 databases with separate users, my system gets confused. 1 Database works, I add second (second I-Bay) and the system takes leave of its binary thoughts...  I'll do some more searchin and keep you posted!
