Logon Prob: Editing a webpage on ISP's websrv w Frontpage

Hi All

I have a problem - please help !

I'm trying to edit a webpage on our IPS's webserver with Frontpage. The webpage is protected with a userid and password, BUT when doing this throug the SME server we can not logon.

We have tried from other locations without a SME server and here it works fine. Setting up a VPN tunnel to our server we can regreate the problem on this location.

We have tried from behind another SME server (other location) and here is the same problem - so I'm convinced it's a SME Server problem.

The ISP is running Windows 2003 Server Webedition with ISS 6.

Can any on please help ?? Thanks

Hello

the problem is not sme but the microsoft server

sme is secure microsoft is not

sme uses password encription thats good
mictosoft & iis use basic clear text for passwords thats bad

try using a secure logon to the microsoft box

sme does not have a problem as I use frontpage extentions
on a sme server and login fine
