I have been using this server software for many years now and have always returned to this site for assistance in geting things right for my clients.
I have never seen such behavour.
Seems HF was only Qouting what was relayed to him from Jeff.
"Volunteers don't do anything."(left out the naughty words)
This comment im sure will upset a few people i know help out around the site. Infact i can name a few nicks that have assisted myself many times for free.

This is why i come back to this site same as many other members. If the members (Volunteers) don't do anything then who does.
Jeff runing this site is a big job and i take my hat off to you and the Volunteers.

But please i ask you and HF to keep your personal problems in house. The fighting effects everyone that use's the site for assistance.

Secondly HF needs to be unbanned allowing the help he gives us to continue.
If we dont have people Like HF then we only have ourselves to solve issue's that are way above our skills.

I ask you kiss and makeup for the benifit of the members that need HF's assistance.

I have no reason to post this other then its my personal opinin and in no way am i trying to flame anyone. Just wishing to ask people cool tempers and get on with there jobs/roles.

As all this pointless bickering continues, I assume we are all adults, I am willing and able to take over the hosting of contribs.org.

Let me know if you are interested.

So why bother to speak up as IF you read all? Your opinion is valued, but please do take the effort to get up to date with all info.

Esspecially if you offer to host something, you should at least know what this is all about.

From what I read the differences can be resolved if only you guys would sit and sort it like gorwn ups. I am more concerned for the extensive user base of e-smith than i am for differences that become petty due to the inability parties to resolve their issues. I am sorry to have to read about all the troubles and i think there is some reconciliation to be done on all sides. All stories, like coins have 2 sides. I would urge you all to sort your diffirences and lets be a reconciled e-smith community again.

Like kbensch I have servers in a few countries and could lend a hand with site hosting / mirror if needed. But it sounds like this would not stop the war of madness that's going on in the background which is becoming very public now!

While some of the Linux community call Contribs “lame” it's the best Linux based OS on the planet today for small business? Most small business owners don't have the time to become Linux Guru's and to go down the Microsoft path (very sorry for using the M word here) is a costly and not always a wise move?

Having said all that Silly Billy will be loving all this.  No need to divide and concur here, it’s self motivated! PLEASE PLEASE remove the ego’s and sit down and talk PLEASE! This OS, Dev Leaders and greater Contribs community have something money can’t buy.
1.   Common Goal
2.   A great Global community Base
3.   Still huge motivation after years of ups and downs
4.   BEST Linux Distro for the target market.
5.   A Great Non Microsoft Product
6.   Years of knowledge for all on this site
7.   Still Lycoris support where possible (thank you)

I could go on all night with the positives? The fact that there is this level of fighting tells me there are still lots of passion and drive in the dev leader to continue going forward. It’s a crying shame the dev leaders have come to this and great loss for the global community if we don’t continue to go forward with the Contribs Project as one group.

So what do we need to do? Is the fighting a necessary process to go forward, is it a time and money thing for the dev leaders? Where is the support needed to resolve the current issue? I think I speak for the many who like me have used E-Smith, Mitel, Contribs over the years and have given back where possible and would help even more in what ever way possible to keep this great Linux Project and so helpful community together and going forward.  Did I mention the PLEASE PLEASE don’t fight bit? If not PLEASE PLEASE don’t fight.

Brett
