Hi

we have sme server version 6.0.1-01 running in Server-Gateway mode

when I look in log files for qmail/current I have lots of entry with

2005-04-15 00:56:24.178461500 warning: trouble opening remote/7/3014893; will try again later
2005-04-15 00:56:24.178473500 warning: trouble opening remote/8/3014894; will try again later
2005-04-15 00:58:28.180576500 warning: trouble opening remote/7/3014893; will try again later
2005-04-15 00:58:28.180588500 warning: trouble opening remote/8/3014894; will try again later

can somebody tell me what this meen ??

Google? Searching for "trouble opening remote" got me plenty of hits.

Chances are you have some corruption in the qmail queue. Has anything unusual happened to your system lately?

No my server has running for 43 days,

the first intry is 2005-03-29 14:20:39

and between 2005-04-15 00:00:36 and 2005-04-15 09:08:16 there is around 300 lines all with this 2
remote/7/3014893;
remote/8/3014894;

I have only updated spamfilter and antivirus from sme.swerts-knudsen.dk

how can I correct this ??

Diagnose the problem.

Spamfiltering and virus checking is notoriously resource intensive. If you were out of memory or available file descriptors you might see the problem you saw. But I'd guess you'd see other problems as well.

I do a reboot of server at 2005-04-15 10:33:47
it's look like the problem is disapeard.......
