Topic: Question on sme webserver & formmail.pl

hi out there
I might have something to catch up - but I have never tried to get my sme webserver to execute som perl script so I am not sure "how to do" - I need to execute the formmail.pl perl script from a webside om my sme server but I cannot get it executed - or found - could some give me some simple steps to go at ? I refer to the formmail.pl from my website as //server/formmail.pl (but it is located in cgi - is this correct then?) - if I place it in a place where it should be seen from the server it is just displayed - not executed (yes - I know - I am complete novice in administrating a website and writing html code - but I try to catch up)

There a number of great Apache references around, including the O'Reilly Nutshell book, and many, many websites. Misconfigured formmail.pl installations have been a source of a lot of SPAM over the years, so please read up on Apache configuration and cgi-bin installations.
