Just installed on spare machine, quick look around looks real nice. Webmail is especially nice!!
Question - this machine is a spare, built from scrap parts. I'm ssh'd into it and thought just for the heck of it that I would check the disk performance based on the performance tuning tweak found at the faq's link. I run this, and, well... you can see the output. ;(
[root@gateway etc]# hdparm -tT /dev/hda
/dev/hda:
read() failed: Input/output error
Timing buffered disk reads: read() failed: Input/output error
... is the disk on this machine going to fail, or is there something syntacticly different with the version of hdparm between redhat and centos?
Just curious - if so (bummer) then maybe I'll ghost it as it sits @present and see if I can scrounge up another drive.
