Topic: SME 6.5 will not redial after any disconnect

Happy New Year.

I ma using SME 6.5 ona P4 1.7GHZ machine. I am having to reboot the server whenever I get disconnected for any reason. (':roll:')

I initally had set the server to "long" connect times, Private gateway and server, and do not use it to get mail.

I reset it to 'continuous' connection time, but the problem still exists.

Is there some sort of problem in 6.5 RC1 that I am missing? Should I reinstall 6.01?

still having some bugs to work out myself with 6.5 RC1 (like not able to disable call waiting).

That being said, I use an external USR modem, and have had no trouble with it dropping and reconnecting. as usage stops and restarts.

It may be more to do with the hardware?  You may need to reconfigure your modem (put it in a different slot if PCI?) and try re-installing to see if you get a better result.
