I'm trying to follow this setup for a jukebox sme server, but all the download links are down. I need some help to locate the downloads

You might want to try installing netjuke.
A howto is here http://sme.swerts-knudsen.dkm
Click on the hoto link on the left of the page and the Netjuke howto is the top link under Music  and Video.

Although this has now been superseeded by Jinzora. http://www.jinzora.org/

If you think those are maybe a bit over the top (they are for me), you can try this:
http://www.pancake.org/zina/

works well and installs easy in an ibay. No database needed.

Absolutly nothing, so I must be making a very, very stupid mistake.
I just unzipped Zina in the HTML folder of an ibay and then tried myserver/ibay/index.php

Try without typing /index.php and delete the old index.html
Set executable content to enabled in the servermanager for the ibay

I got zina to install properly.  Just set up an ibay in the proper fashion and copy the files into the html folder.  My problem is that there is absolutely no styling to any of the pages when I access them.  No matter which theme I chose, I get plain old white page, blue links and it is quite difficult to navigate.

Any ideas?

Yes.. That happened to me also.
Under settings: In the box after: Zina Files Directory (relative path): it should say "_zina" (no quotes). Otherwise it can't find the grafics.

excellent.  Working like a champ now.  It is certainly not as powerfull or feature rich as jinzora but it is way faster both loading each page and streaming the music.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the tip on Zina and the removal of the partial words before _zina in the set up panel....Nice simple script that just works....I am not sure if it will replace my use of netjuke or jinzora...but certainly has a place in my toolbox :)

I have an anoying problem with my Zina now:

Some mp3 files will not connect to my player. It can be a few out of the same rip from a CD. It happened after i upgraded my server and moved the mp3 files to the new server. Same problem with 2 different players, but no problem if i play directly from the ibay. So it must be either Zina or something happened to the files when i moved them.
I have alreay checked fille permissions and they are OK.
Does anyone have an idea?

Hi Per...which version of zina are you running? I only have a couple hours with Zina11.22 on sme7pre2 and have not had the problem yet. are you able to re rip one of those songs to see if it still happens?

Hi Paul, i have tried to re rip but it's the same. It actually looks like all files more than 10 Mb or so, is a problem. So it must be a Zina problem, but i don't really have an idea.... Could somone else verify this.
I will install another server with SME6 and see if it's the same.
