Topic: Backup Failure

I have about 9GB of data on SME V5 with Update 3.

Everytime I try to backup to desktop it stops at exactly 3.99GB, it looks like it is still copying but it just sits at 3.99GB.

I have tried this on 3 different machines on my network with the exact same result.

Please help...

Hi,

What OS is your desktop running ?

If it's not NT / W2k / XP with NTFS, you have a problem as W9x only supports a single file of 4GB max.

There has also been previous posts about a file size limitation on Linux which may or may not apply here.

Search the previous posts for backup and you should see what the other problems were.

Also, what browser are you using?  This may have an impact.

One system is Windows 2000 Pro SP2 with IE 5.5 SP2.

The other is Windows XP with IE 6.

Same error on both, I will search for backup as suggested.

Oh yeah, NTFS 5 on both clients also
