Hi there,

My apache is nos accepting connections on port 80. I don´t have webserver nor webmail... :-(

I´m really sad because my server was working so beautiful until yesterday, when i try to install devtools 7.0... big, big mistake!!!!

I´m really desperate, because i need to put the server working really soon, so if you could help me, i´ll be much aprecciate to you all.

 I have sme-server 7.0rc1 - Server/Gateway mode.

I have tested throw nmap from another machine and port 80 show closed and port 443 either...

 Sorry for my english...

All the best to you all out there

It´s really sad that no one could help me.... Oh well, that´s life....

I´m pretty sure that after all there aren´t as many gurus in linux as i would suspect around here....

Thank god that i resolved it all by myself...

 See you all.

It is a nice thing that you solved your problem although you don;t post the cause and solution of your problem, but it is a wrong thing to flame all the readers and posters of this forum. If you don't post details to your problem and only say things don't work you can not expect people to solve your mistery. Not posting the solution might leave others searching for errors like you... or maybe makes you look  a bit dim for overseeing the obvious ;-)

A good advice for the next time (if you ever return as the tone of your message reads to me as utter disappointment):
  • Be polite, this way more people might be willing to help you
  • Don't just shout that things don't work, but try to describe your problem in as much detail as you can by, for instance, posting the relevant section(s) from the server log file. I bet a good look to your httpd/error.log file could have set you and others on the right track. Stating no connections can be maid is like trying to sue your power supplier for the fact that your computer is not working while you forgot to plug it in.
Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it. Advice is a form of nostalgia, dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than its worth ~ Baz Luhrmann - Everybody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen)
