Topic: VPN problem on 7.0rc2

Just installed a fresh 7.0rc2 server and having problems when trying to establish a VPN from a Win2k Workstation.

Error is:  
Error 781 The encryption attempt failed because no valid certificate was found.

I used exactly the same VPN connection from the same workstation to my old SME 6 server and it worked a treat.

What have I done wrong on the 7.0 system?

  Are you VPN-ing from inside your LAN?  I think there is an issue with this in the bug tracker.

No, I am attempting a VPN externally.

Thanks to Charlie Brady the problem is now solved.

He tells me that the SME server does not use certificates. Modifying the client properties fixed the problem.
