i want to change the php.ini so i can put register_globals to ON and the max upload size but how to you make it so the settings holds after a reboot?

after db configuration setprop php variable value i still get the same values so i am doing something wrong here?

Most people would think now something strong like : RTFM..

at least I am... BUT... since the manual is extending easily and you prob. want a quick solution.. try these 2 commands:

expand-template /etc/php.ini

service httpd-e-smith restart

Tehn you should have things your way... and you have all the time to RTFM  :)

Well i didnt read the fine manual but found this http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=33984.0 but sorry for asking and understand you are a god in linux.Maybe this is why linux wont be popular with answers like this.Most of use use search but if you dont know it already serch function isnt like google :D I hope you were as blank as most of us newbees on linux

Sorry I offended you. I'm in no way a guru or God. I only have somewhat years experience already.

But I hope it helped you on your way. That keeps you interested I hope since SME is highly adjustable and by following the guidelines bringing you a lot of comfort where you normally had to become a guru.
