Hi there
We've enhanced the CLIP and TAG processing in the AGI for both inbound and outbound. Here's how how it works...
Tags have been moved from CLIP to CALLERID(NAME), which is probably where they always should have been. This means that on most SIP phones a "Tagged" call will now also present the CLIP (if there is one).
This has been tested for all tags (trunk and IVR) and looks good. Tags can also now be specified for an Alias.
Outbound CLIP (if present) will be presented to the carrier on an outbound leg of a ring/hunt group. Whether the carrier accepts it or not is your problem.
Outbound CLIPs set in Trunks are always now presented to the carrier (with the same acceptance criteria as aliases).
Outbound CLIPs can also now be specified for individual extensions. This means that an extension can request that its DDI (if it has one) be sent in the CLIP.
CLIP HierarchyThe further down the hierarchy a CLIP or TAG is specified (Trunk=>IVR=>Alias=>Extension), the higher its priority. So, for example, a CLIP specified in an extension will take precedence over a CLIP specified in the outbound Trunk which the extension uses.
CLIP precedence on transferA blind transfer will send the inbound CLIP to the target extension (not its own ID). A supervised call transfer will send the CLIP of the transferring extension to the target extension.
