Topic: sarg functioning ?

Quick question for newbie boy here, I have just installed sarg packages from Filippo's dir.
The link appears in the server manager fine, but when I click on it, I only get the folders where I assume the reports will be stored rather than some sort of gui.
Given I have JUST installed them, do I need to wait for midnight before I will get anything appearing? I will check tomorrow anyway but just HATE to wait when I have a new toy

you have to wait untill after 3.30 in the morning for the report to generate

you then acsess it thru your web browser att http://servername/squid-reports

you will then be asked for user name and password

the user name is admin and password is the password you set for your server

Yikes, came in this morning and still the same thing, I can see folders (daily/weekly/monthly) but nothing else.

Now, I am not actually doing any surfing through this server (as it is a test one only). Could that be making the difference?

OK, things are looking dodgy right now.

I uninstalled (new) sarg and installed the old sarg for  version 4 of e-smith (having made the appropriate changes within the install file).
That did not work (got to the generate report screen then threw up cannot find webpage errors) so uninstalled that and reinstalled the new version of sarg and still getting the same problem as I originally did, even after 24 hours.
That is that when I click on sarg from the server manager, I get  the index of /squid with daily, weeekly, monthly folders but nothing inside them.
I really want to get this going as I have had it going on another box but just cannot bring this into play.
Any thoughts of places I can check for faulty config?
