SME 7.3 won't install on A8N-SLI Premium MOBO
« on: March 16, 2008, 04:18:16 PM »
Hi there,

I've decided to discontinue my old desktop windows PC and set up as a SME SERVER.

the installation hangs while loading the sata_nv driver.

The Mobo is a ASUS A8N-SLI Premium with nForce4 SLI chipset.

The processor is a AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dual core processor 3800+

1 gb ram, 2 x 250 GB HDD attached to the SIL RAID controller

I've seen this old treat http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=31163.msg175547#msg175547 with same chipset suggesting loading smei586 image - did also tried that with no luck.

Anyone please!

Please report it as a bug, perhaps the dev's have a solution and if that is not the case it will be picked up by the documentation team and added to http://wiki.contribs.org/KnownProblems#Hardware .
