Sorry not available for Linux or osX desktops yet but I assume that most people connecting to SME VPN would be doing so from a Windows Box anyway

I had downloaded this to my SME. Today after the scan, clam found it to have a trojan:

This is actualy fulse.  There is no Trojen in this tool.  If clam found something (I doubt it very much) its a fulse positive.

Sorry this comment brings up an old topic.  But I have been away for a while and had not previously seen this comment.

having it working doesn't mean there's no trojan. Well, it may be a false positive, but it'd be interesting to scan it with some other AV tools, just to be sure.

All I can say is that I trust Clam more than I trust this guy or the company from where the file was downloaded.
The files actually have been changed, I don't have the originals anymore to compare, but maybe there was something suspicious...

Draytek are one of the major suppliers of networking equipment in the world.
I dare say a lot of sme users are using Draytek modems or routers. The tool was provided by draytek to its modem users world wide to address the very issues that many people have with vpn's using the same ip range.
There is NO TROGEN. I test various anti virus tools regularly and have used 6 different antivirus programs in the past 5 months and not one came up with an issue concerning the Draytek VPN Tool.
The tool has been around for years, if there was an issue with the tool they would have stopped hosting it on there website and would not have continued its development.

Redownload and retest with multiple antivirus. and if you get a fulse positive tell both draytek and the virus company.  Give a copy of the program to the virus company becouse your comments are just crap.

I have been using this tool for the past 2 1/2 years and have all of my clients using it and NOT one has ever commented that there antivirus has found a trogen in the tool so I can only suspect that somebody is telling lies becouse they dont want people to use a tool that they cant believe would work.  A tool that means people dont have to pay tecks for there time to adjust there entire networks IP addres range to fix what this tool can do so simmply.

Please Franco do a comprehensive test of this tool, talk to draytek and to any virus company that is giving you a strange result.  I can see this tool as being truely helpfull to so many sme users and your comments Franco are just beyond me.  Come back in 2 weeks and tell us how the comprehensive testing has gone and what response did you get from the various comany's.  Thats what I would like to see.

I know there is NO TROGEN but Franco everyone here seems to trust you, so that means I need you to do a proper job so that people who use SME can have the benefit of such an amasingly good tool.

downloaded from http://www.draytek.com/user/SupportDLUtility.php#
with Symantec, spybot, Adaware and Malwarebytes
and the file is clean in every case.
 If clam doesn't like the file I suggest it is definitely a false positive.

...then at least we know the latest version is good.
The infected version was 3.2.6.
