After installing some thirdparty software on our SME Server 7.3, it messed up Perl (and bunch of other packages) which made many of the features of SME Server not work anymore.
We decided to upgrade the server hardware anyways and just need to move the data from the old server to the new server.
Unfortunately the "backup to desktop" does not work from the command line or web interface.
We have already copied all the ibays and user files in /home/e-smith/files to the new server. What we still need to move is the Active Directory (LDAP?) users and Windows Domain configuration to the new server.
Please give me a list of what to copy. And if it's not as simple as copying, what do I need to do? What does the "Backup to desktop" backup utility do and what files/folders are included?
Your help would be appreciated!
