I would normally have folks do this with folders - make a folder for each user, and have them move the message into it when they handle/claim it.
When I flag a message in Outlook 2003 with any color flag, the only change I can find on the SME server is that the message name gains a capital "F" at the end:
1217624746.P11925Q2.sme:2, ==> 1217624746.P11925Q2.sme:2,F
When I open the same mail folder in Thunderbird, this message is now "Marked" with a Star. If I "Tag" the message in Thunderbird, a number of things happen:
- Maildir/.../dovecot-keywords is modified to include new keywords
- a lower case letter is added to the email message name, which is different for each type of "Tag" that I use:
1217624735.P11925Q1.sme:2,F ==> 1217624735.P11925Q1.sme:2,Fc (one color)
1217624711.P11925Q0M203069.sme:2,F ==> 1217624711.P11925Q0M203069.sme:2,Fe (another color)
When I go back to Outlook 2003, I can find no field that will display the "tag" data added by Thunderbird.
When I add "Followup" information in Outlook, I can not find it on the SME server...
