Great statistics tool
« on: December 01, 2008, 05:02:14 PM »
Dear all, a couple days ago I discovered a great statistics tool. Very easy to install on my SME 7.3 server. Output available in console AND -by using the frontend- via a website. The name of the tool is vnstat and it can be found here: http://humdi.net/vnstat/

The frontend can be fount here: http://www.sqweek.com/sqweek/index.php?p=1

I have made a couple of screenshots:
- Screenshot 1
- Screenshot 2
- Screenshot 3
- Screenshot 4
- Screenshot 5

Please let me know what you guys think of the tool! I have created a cronjob that mails me the weekly usage every week. Works great!

I just went through the How-to I note it pulls in old rpm's. Is there a reason it does not use:
Code: [Select]
yum install vnstat --enablerepo=dag
and then pull in the current version of vnstat_php_frontend?

I did the above and works great.

That's because IE cannot parse SVG's very well... blame Adobe for this...

Feel free to update the wiki accordingly.

That's my normal MO, just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.

I must say the IE thing threw me for a bit. I assumed I did something wrong before checking other browsers.

Moving this topic to the SME 7.x contribs forum, it is more appropriate there. Thanks!
