This is probably more an IMP problem than an e-smith problem, but e-smith is using an old version of IMP that's no longer supported.
Our IMAP server is Eudora on a Mac, we'd rather not migrate to the one on the e-smith box if we can avoid it. However, folders don't work. The Eudora people say:
====
EIMS has always supported creating folders, however EIMS uses a
different hierarchy delimiter to most servers (EIMS uses ":"), soclients that don't conform to the IMAP standard in this respect willhave problems.
If IMP is unable to create folders, I suggest you file a bug report with them.
====
Does anyone know where this heirarchy delimiter lives? I couldn't find anything obvious in the IMP config. If I could, I could change it, no problem.
Has anyone upgraded the version of IMP on e-smith to the newer, supported, version, and if so what is involved?
