Synchronise Multiple calendars using Funambol
« on: October 09, 2009, 12:40:55 PM »
Good Day

I have setup a SME Server as a exchange replacement and used funambol to synchronize the Contacts / Calendars with the Horde Webmail.

The problem I have now is the users also have a shared calendar for everybody, eg Boardroom, that must also be visible to the users, so I am looking to synch 2 calendars with the one user??

Does anybody know how to do this?

Shawn

I'm not sure whether this is possible with Funambol. However, if you have Outlook 2007 you could try sharing the second calendar using the (admittedly read only) ICS method.

Hi Dave

Yep I tried that, and the users want to be able to write to the 2nd shared calendar, the 2nd calendar is for booking company events, like boardroom usage etc..

The 1st Calendar is of course the personal calendar..

Will look at Funambol, maybe add a second account to the client??

Cheers

As a stop-gap, the people who are responsible for maintaining non-personal calendars  can log in to webmail to add bookings etc. If Funambol doesn't do multiple accounts you might need to consider something like Zarafa.

Had a look at Zarafa...interesting...

The users responsible for the multiple account do log in to the webmail, but when it synchronizes the users get the entries in their Personal calendar, not the say "Boardroom" calendar..
