I have 50 users in an SME 7.5.1
and want them in a new instalation of SME8 b6

any chance to transfer them ?   ..without typing

Since you do not want to type, you might considering picking up the phone (an email would require typing) to hire someone, make sure you write their contract by hand :-D... sorry couldn't help it.

I would perform a backup and restore that as advised by Stefano.
Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it. LAT are not maintained !!!  thats what can be found in the forum.
Unmaintained software should not be on a new server !!!

SME 7.5.1 and SME 8 are different major releases. How does one know, where are incompatibillities ?
..so backup might be a problem ?

It should not be a problem, I have not tested it, but I know that it has been done by others without hassle.
