Ciao a tutti ,
sto diventando idrofobo con la gestione degli hd usb e prima che morda qualcuno vi prego di aiutarmi !!!
Installo Sme 7.5.1 su mini server Hp N36L e aggiorno il tutto . Imposto il backup e qui l'hd ( formattato FAT32 ) me lo vede. Però sia al momento del backup che quando lo lancio a mano ( do_backupwk) ho questo errore :
 : or while mounting /media/NO_NAME
 in /etc/fstab o /etc/mtab /media/NO_NAME
Backup terminated: backup failed - status: 7424

che posso fare ?

leggere la guida, l'hd va formattato ext3

La guida mi pare dica che va bene anche FAT32 anche perchè su SME che ho installato ormai da mesi e che mi pare non aggiornati , funziona . E' come se non riuscisse a montare l'hd.

Seguendo la guida USBDisk quando digito il comando : " egrep "(kernel|fstab|scsi).*(usb|USB)" /var/log/messages " poi tra i risultati non trovo " Sep 23 17:11:14 office fstab-sync[32193]: added mount point /media/usbdisk1 for /dev/sdd1" . Come se non sentisse l'hd , ci può entrare il fatto che ho installato VmWare Server 2.0.2 ?

attacca l'hd altrove e verifica che funzioni

Ho installato da capo lo sme 7.5.1 su un HP Microserver N36L e mi fa lo stesso scherzo . Sui log trovo questo:

non vorrei che con i nuovi server a 64 bit ci sia qualche problema con le usb . Cmq adesso provo con Diskusage.

non ci sono problemi con macchiine 64 bit e non vedo errori sul tuo estratto..

apri un terminale e digita:

Scusa la mega ignoranza pensavo che l'etichetta fosse NO_NAME. Che devo fare ?

Ho seguito la procedura e qundo digito

 dosfslabel /dev/sdb1

ottengo:
