Background:
1. SME Server 7.6 setup in gateway mode with primary domain xxx.co.nz : secondary domain yyy.com
2. Seperate Windows server on network behind SME server with an application installed listening on port 80 and port 443
3. Under Hostnames and addresses setup a sub domian aaa.yyy.com as local pointing to IP address of Windows server
4. At the DNS level of yyy.com setup a new A record aaa.yyy.com pointing to public IP address of SME server ... propagation has been in effect for 48 hours and various DNS tools shows full propagation

Problem:
1. From a workstation on the LOCAL network when I browse to aaa.yyy.com I access the application on the Windows server as expected.
2. From a workstation at an 'outside' the local network, that is from the Internet, when I browse to aaa.yyy.com the normal website attached via iBay to yyy.com is shown ... I'm NOT redirected to the application of the Windows server as required and available from within the local network.

What other settings are required apart from those described above within the SME server?
and/or
What other, if any, settings are required with the DNS side of things?

Your assistance plaese.

Thanks Stefano, I'll give this a go.

One furthe question then ... is ... 3. Under Hostnames and addresses setup a sub domian aaa.yyy.com as local pointing to IP address of Windows server still needed?
