Remove Appletalk

Hi,
Since I have no Apple computers in our facility, I was wondering
about uninstalling appletalk. Seems like its just taking up space
and resources.

How or what is the best way to get rid of it?

Thanks

Hi,

enter on the console as root:

/sbin/e-smith/config setprop atalk status disabled

and

service atalk stop

This diabled appletalk for now and in case you reboot.

Removing the packages is not needed for it consumes not much space.

You can also install the service control user panel from here:

http://myezserver.com/downloads/mitel/contrib/e-smith-service-control/

It's provides an easy way to start and stop services using server manager.

I install e-smith-service-control on SME version 5.5. The front panel is update. The actual status of the services is displayed but when i try to apply any change, i got an error : "impossible to display ..."

All other functionalities are ok.
