Topic: Fetchmail non esegue fetchall

Ciao a tutti,
Ho uno sme10 con fetchmail impostato come da istruzioni del contrib, riesco a ricevere sole le nuove mail ma non quelle
già esistenti sulle mailbox.
Ho messo come scelta "leggi le email e lasciale sul server" cosa potrei controllare per capire questo problema?
L'isp in questione è netsons.

Per "esistenti sulle mailbox" intendi sui server netsons? Quindi raggiungibili via IMAP? Se è così potresti "spostarle" tramite un qualunque client imap (outl00k, thunderbird...).
Ritengo che "la funzione" funzioni che tu attivi il contrib e lui da quel momento in poi si attiva per le email NUOVE che arrivano.

si confermo si tratta di mailbox esistenti sui server netsons, usare tb per importare lo storico
è una buona idea ma che implica un bel po' di lavoro in piu',  speravo in una soluzione smart

Considerato che iddio ha fatto GRANDINARE subito dopo che ho tolto la carne d'agnello dalla brace e che quindi devo compiere la mia buona azione quotidiana "altrimenti faccio un macello", posso consigliarti di provare con Imapsync. Ma non lo uso da un pò...

Penso che fetchmail recuperi solo la posta non letta.  Penso che ci sia stato un contributo getmail ma non riesco a vedere cosa gli è successo (Python 3?)?  Si prega di controllare. 

La maggior parte degli ISP consegna la posta a Google/M$ e sopprime il POP3 in nome della "sicurezza". 

Per esempio...  Usa un browser così possiamo spiare di più o pagare più soldi...

I think fetchmail only retrieves unread mail. I think there was a getmail contrib but can't see what happened to it (Python 3?)? Please check.

Most ISPs are handing mail to Google/M$ and they are killing off POP3 in the name of 'security'.

probably the issues you experience is simply the consequence of having user to use the remote mailbox to check emails.


either you use fetchmail and all your users should connect to the SME to check emails. Either you were trying to backup mails then as suggested in this thread and the other one you opened then stop using fetchmail and rather use imapsync every once and a while. 

you might also have the possibility depending on your provider to cc all your incoming messages to a box on your sme.

In questo momento ho configurato e schedulato imapsync , tutto funziona correttamente le mail si salvano sullo sme locale ma gli utenti segnalano ancora mail già lette anche se in realtà non lo sono state.
Tutti gli account utilizzano come client outlook che punta sull'isp che in questo caso e' netsons, io stesso ho visto 3 mail non lette diventare improvvisamente lette.
Avete qualche idea? Grazie

either someone else ha access the account, either you still have a fetchmail task running.
do you konw there is 2 fetchmail service? one as a contrib and one as core service.  be sure to have both disabled.

it seems taht the process that mark the mail as read is not the sme server

this is not the entry for the fetchmail contrib but the core process

also uninstall rpm does not always mean service stopped. particularly in a situation where the core still needs a lot of component of the same service.
