Here's what I'm doing. After the installation and the mirror synch (cat /proc/mdstat to see status), I'm unplugging one of the mirrored drives to simulate failure. Then I reboot the machine, but it only comes up to a grub> prompt. I would think that it would boot into SME, or if not, what step am I missing in my testing?

Please report all issues with 7.0beta to the bug tracker, and only there, please:

https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=browse&group_id=96750&atid=615772

This one has already been raised (and thought fixed previously):

https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1233029&group_id=96750&atid=615772

Thanks,

Gordon

I posted it here because I didn't know if this was a bug, or just something I was doing wrong. I didn't want to pollute the bug list with something that was my screwup.

No worries. However, please don't be afraid to raise potential bugs with the base software in the bug tracker. It may only look like a potential bug to you, but we might see something more serious.

If you raise it in the bug tracker, we can mark it as a known issue, user error, duplicate of another bug, high/low priority, etc.

If issues are raised here, we need expend development team resources to copy them to the bug tracker, and spend significant time wading through the commentary in order to find the issue. I've seen quite a lot of time spent in the boards fixing known issues.

We have limited development resources, and the best use of them is for people to raise any 7.0beta issues in the bug tracker.

And if you have more information on an existing issue, please add it to the relevant bug.

Thanks,

Gordon

Being new to the sourceforge bugtracking stuff, I posted a comment on the bug that you linked to, rather than starting a new bug.

That's perfect - thanks. If the bug already exists, adding a comment is best. If it doesn't exist, start a new one. If you can't find it after a search, start a new one, and we can mark it as a duplicate if need be.

Hmm...checks Status field on bug...Open...so, no :-)

Seriously, this is why we have the bug tracker - we can see the status of bugs as they move from reported to understood to fixed to released to closed.

We move bugs to the 'Fixed - awaiting release' category when we've fixed them.

On the matter of same mailadress to different domains (as mentioned in this post

Will SME 7 have support for mail@domain1 and mail@domain2 can go to different users or will it have to be fixed with a how-to / 3rd party contrib as it has to be done in SME6 ?

Currently i use a contribs from Dungog that fixes the problem form e but since it is not for free i would like to know if this will be a part of SME 7 or ifi have to pay for the contrib again when SME 7 is released (if i choose to upgrade)
Who is General Failure and why is he reading my harddrive?

Yes, it does. You just enter user@dom.ain into the pseudonyms panel and select where you want the mail to go. user and dom.ain must already have been configured as a valid user and valid domain.

I'm running 7b4 with no major issues. Spam tagging works fine but I seem to be misunderstanding the spam rejection option.

I have the following settings:

Spam filtering    Enabled
Spam sensitivity Mediumm
Custom spam tagging level 5
Custom spam rejection level 10

But I received spams with the following after setting rejection to 10. Shouldn't these be rejected at the SMTP level?

I scanned the bug database and didn't see any note of this, so it must be a bug or more likely user error?

X-Spam-Status: Yes, hits=25.0 required=5.0 tests=DCC_CHECK,DIGEST_MULTIPLE,PYZOR_CHECK,RAZOR2_CF_RANGE_51_100,RAZOR2_CHECK,RCVD_HELO_IP_MISMATCH,RCVD_IN_BL_SPAMCOP_NET,RCVD_IN_XBL,RCVD_NUMERIC_HELO,URIBL_JP_SURBL,URIBL_SBL,URIBL_SC_SURBL,URIBL_WS_SURBL

If you have an 7b4 and you use yum, will it become
an 7b5?
