Ok I feeling very dense now

I am so far behind the curve I really need to get further Linux education.

I would speculate that by adding the host name smtp.foolishlys.com to the server-manager / configuration that my problem is solved

I will post back my results
SME forums just keep getting better

And thanks for the help and to everyone for helping on this subject

Now on to the WAN

For the LAN I could not get any mail to work on ports 993 and 465, I just used standard ports 143 and 25 for the client machine and no authentication. And LAN clients are fine now?

I'm concerned that it's not secure. Why would it not work properly from the LAN on those ports if that is how it is suppose to work ?

I don't care really for the most part, but if by default I am suppose to use ports 993 and 465 and authentication then it should work ?

I believe my work computer could be blocking ports however not working on ports 143, and 25 as with the LAN, nor is WAN client from work working on 465, 993 ports either with any configurations of authentications, SSL with or without etc.

I'll test this again from another computer directly connected to the Internet and post back

Thanks
